The two-day conference, taking place on 28-29 March 2012 at York University, will take a research-informed approach to answering the question ‘what works’ to improve student retention and success in higher education.

Professor Kerri-Lee Krause, Pro Vice Chancellor of the University of Western Sydney Australia has agreed to speak at the event, and Professor Vincent Tinto of Syracuse University in the US will be contributing too.

Other speakers include Sir Alan Langlands (HEFCE), Professor Craig Mahoney (HEA), Dr Stephen Jackson (QAA) Dr Helen James (PVC, Glyndwr University, Professor Christine Hockings (University of Wolverhampton) and Dr Ruth Woodfield (University of Sussex).

Former Education Secretary Estelle Morris will be chairing the morning sessions on 29 March.
