{"id":7736,"date":"2021-02-09T09:13:15","date_gmt":"2021-02-09T09:13:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/?p=7736"},"modified":"2021-02-09T09:57:57","modified_gmt":"2021-02-09T09:57:57","slug":"ultra-courses-for-foundation-and-level-4-modules-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/2021\/02\/09\/ultra-courses-for-foundation-and-level-4-modules-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Ultra courses for Foundation and Level 4 modules now available"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Because it won&#8217;t be possible to automatically convert Original courses to Ultra, Ultra development courses will be created for all modules at least six months&nbsp;before they are required for first&nbsp;teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Foundation and Level 4 Ultra courses for first teaching in September 2021 are available now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enrol on the Ultra development course for your module, please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/staff\/nile-guides\/blackboard-learn#s-lg-box-15095817\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/libguides.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/staff\/nile-guides\/blackboard-learn#s-lg-box-15095817\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Enrol as a Tutor on your Modules<\/a> tool in NILE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ID and name of your module will be in the format: Course ID = ABC1234_ULTRA, Course Name = ABC1234 Ultra Development Course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-default is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Please note that these Ultra development courses are not the final versions of the courses that you will be using for teaching. The actual courses that your students will be enrolled on and which are synchronised with the Student Records System will be created later in the year (usually late May, early June). These Ultra development courses are intended for staff who would like to spend time slowly building their courses over many months, rather than waiting until June to begin the process. If you build your module&nbsp;using an Ultra development course you will need to copy it across later in the year into the course that your&nbsp;students are enrolled on;&nbsp;however, this is a quick and easy process. Our suggestion is that these Ultra development courses are best used as a place to structure, develop and build your module&nbsp;content and activities.
