{"id":5260,"date":"2016-06-08T08:29:11","date_gmt":"2016-06-08T08:29:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/?p=5260"},"modified":"2016-06-08T08:29:11","modified_gmt":"2016-06-08T08:29:11","slug":"nile-2016-7-rolling-out-and-onwards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/2016\/06\/08\/nile-2016-7-rolling-out-and-onwards\/","title":{"rendered":"NILE 2016-7 &#8211; rolling out and onwards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As in previous years, LearnTech have been working with colleagues in Curriculum and IT on the creation of new NILE course (programme) and module sites for the forthcoming academic year, only this year with a twist: instead of routinely copying over all teaching materials from earlier site iterations, we are taking this opportunity to review and \u2018spring clean\u2019 legacy content, particularly with a nod to the course evaluation and redesign coming out of recent <a title=\"Demystifying the CAIeRO\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/2016\/04\/25\/demystifying-the-caiero-stages-6-and-7-planning-and-reflecting\/\" target=\"_blank\">CAiEROs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5264\" style=\"width: 605px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2016\/06\/NILE_16-17_module_template.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5264\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5264\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2016\/06\/NILE_16-17_module_template-1024x559.jpg\" alt=\"NILE 2016-17 module template\" width=\"595\" height=\"324\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5264\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">NILE 2016-17 module template<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The updated and fresh NILE template, proposed at (and tweaked on the back of consultations with) the SEC (Student Experience Committee) on <a href=\"http:\/\/tundrasearch.northampton.ac.uk\/results\/showimage.aspx?index=1500398\">24<sup>th<\/sup> February<\/a> and with the Learning and Teaching Forum, has resulted in the creation of\u00a0 4,251 \u2018clean\u2019 sites, now ready and already receiving content.<\/p>\n<p>Following the updated minimum <a title=\"NILE quality standards 2016-17\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.northampton.ac.uk\/learntech\/2016\/05\/04\/nile-quality-standards-2016-17\/\" target=\"_blank\">NILE standards<\/a>, LearnTech and Academic Librarians have so far worked with colleagues from the Schools of Education and Health running a total of 11 sessions covering changes to the template; reviewing and copying relevant content; checking curriculum data and reading lists and populating sites ready for the new student intake.<\/p>\n<p>The Team is now working on the roll-out to the Business School and is in contact with subject leads from the Schools of Social Sciences, Arts and SciTech, identifying local support needs, creating online resources to help guide site population and working with colleagues from other University support teams to ensure everything is set up and in place for the new academic year \u2013 where possible, before the summer vacation strikes!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As in previous years, LearnTech have been working with colleagues in Curriculum and IT on the creation of new NILE course (programme) and module sites for the forthcoming academic year, only this year with a twist: instead of routinely copying over all teaching materials from earlier site iterations, we are taking this opportunity to review [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[12],"tags":[41,54,135],"class_list":["post-5260","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-learntech-news","tag-blended-learning","tag-collaboration","tag-nile"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 -
